Something I've been thinking about. The 2020 election was a colossal disaster for everyone involved. The right lost seats across the board. The left has cemented themselves in following traditional politicians for the near future. Had Dems lost the election maybe next time they would truly understand they can't just put up whoever is 'next in line'. Corporate money on both sides. The American people lost an opportunity for a candidate that truly represents the interests of the populace. With partisan politics, a red senate and a blue presidency, nothing will get accomplished over the next four years.

Neither Biden nor Trump is the answer right now. We don't need another out of touch 75+ year old guy that doesn't understand the working man to be making decisions right now. Economic inequality is coming to a peak even in such a thriving economy. What's going to happen when things crash?

What we really need is a modern day Bobby Kennedy. Someone who came into politics not for the name, but to get stuff done. Someone that's here to really connect with the American people and someone who makes the effort and the outreach with a proven track record of getting stuff done. This person shouldn't be a democratic socialist like AOC that would never win the hearts of the people. We need a real well-spoken leader that inspires the population and provides hope. Someone that knows the game as well and not a complete outsider.

Maybe I'm just fanboying. I wonder how different America would be today if he didn't get assassinated. Nixon probably never would have ended up in office. I feel as if ever since then, the divide in America has only grown. Today, I just can't see a single politician that truly inspires me. What happened along the way?

It just feels hopeless right now. How is that most people who voted for Biden didn't even really want him. Are these two really the only possible leaders we have left in this country? I pray America gets back on track but I simply don't see how that will happen and not a single public figure that would be the right answer.
